About Rhys Nicholson: Rhys Nicholson (they/them) is a multi-award winning Australian stand-up, author, actor and collager with an enormous passion for live performing and a well-earned reputation for intelligent, premium comedy. Their work continues to receive awards and accolades around the world, cementing their status as a star of both stage and screen.
Hand-picked to open for comedy legend Conan O'Brien and making their USA television debut on CONAN (TBS), Rhys has become a global sensation with their Netflix special "Nice People Nice Things Nice Situations" – one of only three Australians with a solo show on the streaming giant at that time. Their impressive accolades include multiple AACTA Award nominations in 2024 for Best Stand Up Comedy Special and Best Comedy Performer.
Beyond stand-up, Rhys has become a television favorite with roles in "The Imperfects" (NETFLIX), "FISK" (NETFLIX), and as a judge on all four seasons of "Drag Race Down Under" (STAN). They've also hosted prestigious events including the 2023 & 2024 ARIA Awards, New Years Eve Broadcast, and World Pride Broadcast.
About Adriano Cappelletta: Adriano Cappelletta (he/him) is the creator, co-writer, and executive producer of the acclaimed four-part musical drama television series "In Our Blood" (ABC/Hoodlum), which dramatises Australia's radical response to AIDS in the early 1980s, set to a pop soundtrack sung by a Greek chorus.
With almost 20 years as an actor and theatre maker, Adriano has presented original work at festivals throughout Australia, UK, and NYC. In 2008, he was awarded the Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship and Mike Walsh Fellowship to study with French master clown Philippe Gaulier in Paris.
Adriano has shared his expertise as a tutor in acting, improvisation, and comedy at prestigious institutions including WAAPA, NIDA, Actors Centre Australia, and The HUB Studio. His artistic practice encourages a lightness of spirit and pleasure for life that opens the audience's imagination.
