Over the past 25 years, Aurora and GiveOUT paved the way for a better funded sector, collectively distributing over $4 million to 200 LGBTQIA+ not for profit organisations and initiatives. After successfully collaborating for years, now as Rainbow Giving Australia, we can do so much more.

Creating an empowered, sustainable, and united rainbow sector
The Aurora Group and GiveOUT joined forces to create Rainbow Giving Australia.
Despite progress, LGBTQIA+ people in Australia continue to face inequality, and our underfunded sector struggles to meet demand. So we invest in community-led solutions to the most pressing issues facing our communities.
What do we do?
Rainbow Giving Australia is proud to offer funding to the LGTBQIA+ community sector via:
GiveOUT Day: Australia’s annual day of giving to LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit organisations and initiatives, held in October each year. Learn more.
Aurora Ball: Bringing together allies and friends to celebrate community, and give generously, held in June each year. Learn more.
Amplify Pride Grants: Capacity building grants between $30,000 and $60,000, available annually. Learn more.
Ignite Pride Grants: Community grants between $5,000 and $20,000, available annually. Learn more.
Spark Pride Grants: Starting in 2025, rapid response grants between $500 and $2,000, available year-round. Coming in 2025/2026.

Our vision is for an empowered, sustainable, and united LGBTIQA+ community sector, and our mission is clear: we're here to support community-led solutions by mobilising funding, growing skills and expanding the knowledge base about the funding needs across the LGBTQIA+ sector.
Award winning collaboration
In 2022, prior to our merger, and with invaluable support from Snow Foundation, we launched Amplify Pride grants to help tackle the biggest issues our communities face.
In 2023, Amplify Pride was honoured with Philanthropy Australia’s Community Philanthropy Award.
