by Sam Turner (she/they), Chair, Rainbow Giving Australia
I’m delighted to introduce Olivia Clark-Moffatt (she/her), Rainbow Giving Australia's new CEO.
Liv, as she is better known, joins us from Australian Communities Foundation. As Director of Engagement and Innovation there, she grew annual donations from $12 million to $30 million in just over six years. She brings a deep understanding of community philanthropy and a values-led, people-first approach to leadership, along with her own lived experience.
Liv has also held senior roles at Baptcare and The Difference Incubator, and is an experienced non-executive director. She’ll be based in Naarm/Melbourne and spend regular time with our team members and partners in Eora/Sydney.
LGBTQIA+ organisations across Australia do extraordinary work, but remain chronically underfunded. As Rainbow Giving enters its third year, Liv will work with our board and team to refresh our strategy, strengthen partnerships, and grow the funding and support available to our communities.
“I’m thrilled to join Rainbow Giving Australia at this important time for rainbow communities. It’s also an exciting time for the organisation and I want to pay tribute to the founding CEO Em Scott, and all those who’ve given so much to bring RGA to life.
After spending my first week in person with Jones, Lee, Jake and Tasha, I’m blown away by what’s been achieved so far, and equally energised by the opportunity to grow our collective impact. I can’t wait to work alongside this amazing team and board, connect with our partners and get to know the communities we serve.”– Liv Clark-Moffatt (she/her), CEO

Throughout our leadership transition, Jones and Lee guided Rainbow Giving as Acting Co-CEOs and played an important role in recruiting Liv. I’m deeply grateful to them both, and to our small team, for their resilience, care and commitment.
“Liv was one of the first people in Australian philanthropy to make me feel genuinely welcome, like I belonged. That was nearly two years ago, before we merged into Rainbow Giving Australia, and I’ve never forgotten it.
I’m so excited to begin this next chapter with Liv as CEO. I can’t wait to work alongside her, learn from her, and make a meaningful difference together with the communities and people at the heart of our work.”
– Jones Jones (they/them), Head of Community and Grants
“Liv joins us at a time when LGBTQIA+ progress is precarious, so strong partnerships and sustained investment in our communities matter more than ever. Liv brings the perfect mix of skills and experience to build on our foundations and lead our next chapter.
I’m excited by what Liv will bring to our work, and how she will help Rainbow Giving contribute to a stronger, better-resourced LGBTQIA+ sector.”
– Lee Crockford (he/him), Head of Operations and Impact
Please join us in welcoming Liv. Look out for opportunities to connect in the coming months.
Thank you for your continued support of Rainbow Giving Australia. The board, team and I look forward to this new chapter together.
