🌈 2027 Grants are coming: Ignite Pride, Queer Futures + what’s new
Rainbow Giving Australia is pleased to announce our 2027 annual collaborative grant round.
This year, our grants are made possible through the generous support and trust of Snow Foundation, alongside collaboration with Pride Foundation Australia and Wear it Purple—and with the backing of other collaborative funders and community supporters.
If you’re part of an LGBTQIA+ community group, initiative or organisation with a great idea (or you’re a young person with a creative project led by and for LGBTQIA+SB youth) we’d love you to consider applying.
What’s on offer in 2027
Our 2027 grant round includes two open programs (via Expression of Interest), plus our Amplify Pride Fund which is moving to a targeted, by invitation model this year.
Ignite Pride Grants (open EOI)
Ignite Pride Grants are designed to empower our communities in doing what they do best: supporting each other.
These grants are a great fit for:
local or place-based projects, and/or
initiatives focused on specific LGBTQIA+ groups or populations.
In addition to funding, there are optional capacity-building opportunities to help initiatives flourish.
In 2027, we’re proud to partner with Pride Foundation Australia again to deliver a $20,000 Ignite Pride grant specifically supporting organisations challenging discrimination and violence, and promoting human rights and justice for trans and gender diverse communities in Australia.
Grant size: $5,000–$20,000
EOIs open: 29 June 2026
EOIs close: 3 August 2026
Queer Futures Fund (open EOI)
We’re proud to be partnering with Wear It Purple this year to deliver the Queer Futures Fund.
These grants support arts, culture and community-based projects run by LGBTQIA+SB youth for LGBTQIA+SB youth (aged 18–26). The program supports a wide range of creative and community projects — and is open to individuals, groups and organisations.
Grant size: up to $20,000
EOIs open: 29 June 2026
EOIs close: 3 August 2026
Amplify Pride Fund (by invitation)
Amplify Pride supports organisations and initiatives that tackle big, systemic issues — strengthening the sustainability and impact of our sector over the long term. In 2027, Amplify Pride will be by invitation as we pilot a more targeted approach to deepen relationships and enable more sustainable, multi-year partnerships.
You can read more about this change here: Amplify Pride: Moving to an Invite-Only Process.
Key changes for 2027
A few of the key updates we’re excited to share this year include:
A new youth arts & culture grant: Alongside Ignite Pride, we’re partnering with Wear It Purple to launch the Queer Futures Fund for LGBTQIA+SB young people aged 18–26.
Expanding our voices in assessment: We’re piloting a Community Assessment Panel for Ignite Pride and the Queer Futures Fund, bringing broader community representation alongside Rainbow Giving Australia and partner input.
Deepening our relationships: For Amplify Pride, we’re piloting a targeted, invitation-only, single-stage process focused on strengthening relationships and building long-term sustainability.
