Dani is a proud lesbian, lawyer and passionate advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, with a decade of experience spanning law, the not-for-profit sector, government and the arts.
She joined the Aurora board in 2023, and was appointed Company Secretary in 2024. Dani started her legal career at leading Australian law firm, Allens, where she was an Associate in the Disputes and Investigations team and Co-chair of the firm's national LGBTIQ+ network, ALLin. She has worked as the Legal Policy Advisor at Equality Australia, and in 2023, was the Project Manager of the award winning Sydney WorldPride Human Rights Conference - the largest LGBTIQ+ human rights conference ever held.
Dani is currently working with vulnerable communities as a senior policy officer for the NSW Government. Beyond her professional achievements, Dani has interests in theatre, dance, and visual art. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Creative Industries (with Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology, with a minor in Design Thinking from HvA, Amsterdam.
