Dani joined the Aurora board in 2023, and was appointed Company Secretary in 2024. She is a proud queer woman, lawyer and passionate advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, with a decade of experience spanning law, the not-for-profit sector and the arts.
Dani started her legal career at leading Australian law firm, Allens, where she was an Associate in the Disputes and Investigations team and Co-chair of the firm's national LGBTIQ+ network, ALLin. She has also worked as the Legal Policy Advisor at Equality Australia, a national organisation dedicated to equality for LGBTIQ+ people, and in 2023, was the Project Manager of the award winning Sydney WorldPride Human Rights Conference - the largest LGBTIQ+ human rights conference ever held.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dani has interests in theatre, dance, and visual art. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Creative Industries (with Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology, with a minor in Design Thinking from HvA, Amsterdam.
