David Scamell joined Aurora Group in 2020 as Deputy Chair, and brings over 20 years of expertise in human rights, public health advocacy, and philanthropy, driving transformative change for marginalised communities across 27 countries. 

Currently with the Global Philanthropy Project, David leads efforts to engage major government and multilateral donors, amplifying resources for global LGBTI movements. 

His leadership spans roles in top NGOs, foundations, and global networks, both in New York and Sydney, where he’s cultivated a reputation for forging strategic collaborations that spark meaningful, lasting social impact.
