Jones is a queer non binary mother of two, with over 15 years’ experience in business, event management and organising. With a passion for social justice and community capacity building, they developed and managed the hugely successful Sydney Vegan Market, and Events Program for Vegan NSW, and delivered an Aurora Ball to remember in 2022 as the Associate Director of Events. Jones joined Aurora in 2021 as the Associate Director of Events, and took on the Program Manager role in 2023, the first full time position in Aurora’s history. With an incredible team, they have since produced three Aurora Balls to remember, two successful grant rounds, and led Aurora through the merger process with GiveOUT. Jones brings extraordinary community connections and understanding, as well as an ability to make everyone feel special, heard and included. Their collaborative and strategic approach is fun and infectious, and they love working with and supporting the incredible LGBTQIA+ communities of Australia.
