Rugare Gomo (he/him)
Rugare Gomo is a High-Performance Business & Leadership Coach, Keynote Speaker and now an international bestselling author. He is also known as a Lawyer and Philanthropist.
In 2001, Rugare left Zimbabwe and came to Australia by himself at 16 years old with one suitcase, a backpack and $300. He graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Honours). Rugare practised in a top-tier law firm, joined a start-up and negotiated cross border, multi-million dollar contracts. He also ran his own commercial law firm.
He is the founder of the Gomo Foundation, which provided scholarships for young women in rural Zimbabwe to attend tertiary education. On 3 September 2024, Rugare became the 1st gay, Black, African-Australian to publish their memoir in the world: Dreams: Forging my Own Path.
Rugare believes that love is the key to eliminating prejudice and discrimination and restoring the world to its natural state.
