Leonard Curmi (he/him)
Program Coordinator

Leonard is a queer man based in Wurundjeri country in Naarm/ Melbourne, with a passion for the incredible, life-saving work being done by LGBTQIA+ community organisations in Australia. He previously participated in the Minus18 Young Leaders Program, and received an Out For Australia 30 Under 30 award in 2024 for his contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community sector. He joined the GiveOUT family in 2022, starting in an administrative role before evolving into the position of Program Manager, leading GiveOUT’s flagship initiative, GiveOUT Day. Using spreadsheets, conversations, and communication for the good of LGBTQIA+ not-for-profits brings Leonard great pride. He’s incredibly excited to continue this work with Rainbow Giving Australia.

Leonard recently completed his honours studies in geographical science, in which he proudly undertook two research projects which sought to better understand democratic engagement with food systems in Australia. He is passionate about communities thriving and co-existing with a healthy planet and environment.
